Thobe is an ancient, long, loose-fitting garment that dates back thousands of years. It was made and worn by our ancestors in the Palestinian and Jordanian lands, as well as the the levantine region in general.

Intricate embroidery patterns and motifs were incorporated into thobes, giving them specific identities that are linked to particular cities and regions that were used to symbolize their lifestyle and overall socioeconomic status.
