Who are we?
We are a proud Palestinian-owned small business based in Orland Park, Illinois, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the art of tatreez—traditional Palestinian embroidery—and the timeless beauty of the Thobe.
The Thobe is an ancient, long, loose-fitting garment that has been worn across Palestine, Jordan, and the Levant for thousands of years. Each Thobe is more than just a piece of clothing, it is a story woven in thread. The intricate tatreez patterns and motifs embroidered into these garments represent the different cities, regions, and aspects of everyday life where those thobes were made and worn. They reflect the landscapes, traditions, and beliefs of the communities that created them.
At Thobe Dresses, we took on a mission in 2024: to bring you top-quality Thobes and tatreez-inspired pieces at competitive prices, perfect for both special occasions and daily wear. Whether you’re dressing for a wedding, a cultural event, or simply expressing pride in your heritage, we are here to help you showcase the rich legacy of our people through every stitch.
