Who are we?

We are a Palestinian-owned small business rooted in Orland Park, Illinois, born from a deep love for our land, our people, and the ancient art of tatreez—the sacred art of embroidery, passed down from mother to daughter for generations.

At the heart of our work is the thobe—a long, flowing garment worn by our ancestors for centuries across Palestine, Jordan, and the Levant. Each thobe carries within it a piece of history. With every stitch, a story is told—of the villages and cities it came from, of the olive trees and rolling hills, of resilience, faith, and identity. The patterns are not mere decoration; they are symbols of home, of memory, and of the unshakable spirit of our people.

At Thobe Dresses, our mission began in 2024, but its roots stretch far deeper. We seek to revive and honor the heritage of our ancestors, offering handcrafted thobes and tatreez-inspired garments that reflect the soul of Palestine. Whether you are dressing for a wedding, a celebration, or simply carrying your culture into daily life, our pieces are made to help you wear your heritage with pride.

Every thread is a prayer.
Every motif, a memory.
Every thobe, a legacy.
